• Trivia Night hosted by Misty

So you think you know it all, smarty-pants? Do you laugh when people memorize the names of all the capitals, then explain how you know each and every county seat? Well, come on out and prove it!

    Tuesday, 6/16/09, 10:00pm
• Eula with Fluffy Lumbers

Eula is "a band so filled with elements of pop and punk and blaring rock that it's amazing any of them still have eardrums left to help keep them in tune. Language Of Threat is a visual album. It's colorful and painfully loud and the imagery it evokes are one part horrific and one part sexual."
- Fence Post

Fluffy Lumbers has the trippy psych beach music thing down, with all the super pop harmonies that implies.

• Keep Off the Grass with Town Mountain

It's "keep Joe Troop busy" night, with two of his bands, Keep Off the Grass and Town Mountain occupping the common ground between traditional bluegrass, outlaw country, and pure old time mountain music; the frantic energy of the modern punk string band, yet still remaining respectfully rooted in the tradition of traditional bluegrass, one foot stepping out into the unknown forefront of American string music.

• Chatham County Pajama Party at the "Ski Lodge" with The Moaners, Twilighter, and Taz Halloween's Kittybox & The Johnnys

It's a triple, triple, triple bill in its PJ's y'all! Taz Halloween came into this world howling and screaming bloody murder at thunder as a child, but she's since settled down (somewhat), got into her jammies and is bringing her friends along to party. This time she brings The Moaners, who are well known to everyone here in Chapel Hill - that's why there's no "About Us" section on their website for lazy slackers like me to copy. If you haven't seen them yet, hurry up before they outgrow us. Plus, there's Twilighter, who are gearing up for their big NC tour.

• Americans in France, Whatever Brains, Francis Harold & The Holograms

It's a triple fun, triple wacky bill y'all! Americans in France have myspace fans who write poetry like:

All of my energy I will save, cause
Saturday night we won't behave.
Just for the beautiful, bright, and brave,
Americans in France will play the Cave!

The fact that the show is on Monday should not be held against the poet.

Along with A.I.F. are the Weird Al quoting Whatever Brains and Bisbee, Arizona's very own Francis Harold & The Holograms!
